This week I also made a collage of the sort of things I would like to have in my music video.

 

Week 4: Tuesday 9th July 2013

Today i learned how to use photovisi to create a collage of different artists in the pop genre. The collage below was my end result, it shows many different artists who are popular.

I also made a photvisi collage of the locations you normally see for pop music videos.

I then made a collage of the sort of clothes you see many pop artists wearing.

I also made a collage of the props that are usually used in this certain genre.

What is a music video?

A music video is a short film exposing an artists song, it is produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Many songs have been movie soundtracks which then in the music video it has clips of the actual film which also helps promote the song and film. Some music videos are purposely made to sell the song and also make you remember the song. Mainly music videos are made to entertain their audiences.

Important music videos?

One of the important videos is the Buggles 'video killed the radio star' as it was the first video that was played on MTV in the United States on the 1st of August 1981. This song was also number 1 on the singles charts in 16 countries.

What are some of your favourite videos and why?

One of my favourite music videos is Beyonce 'End of time' as it is all footage from previous tours so it is all live footage, it is full of energy and enjoyable to watch. Link to watch the full video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJBfv9CHlcw

The last one is Michael Jackson 'Earth song' which is all about how people are ruining the earth and all of the devastating things that are happening worldwide so really the aim of this video was to make people think about all of the awful things that are happening and hopefully try and make a change to it.
